Established in 2004 by Alex Flower and Chantal Michelin, Flower Michelin is celebrating over ten years of considered, design-led, residential and commercial projects. The practice creates beautiful buildings and spaces which enhance both clients’ lives and the surrounding environment. With a founding ethos on high quality and precisely detailed minimalist architecture, each project is carefully tailored to address the specific client’s brief and needs whilst challenging the site conditions to maximise potential and value. Our projects respect the historic fabric of existing buildings and sites but reinvent these for modern uses, thoughtfully combining old and new.

Completed projects include an art gallery, a couture evening wear boutique, new build homes and a wide range of refurbishment projects, often in Listed Buildings and sensitive Conservation Areas, primarily in central London but also further afield. We have been featured on Grand Designs, and have had a number of other projects published. A small selection of our comprehensive portfolio is presented on our project pages.

We offer a full range of architectural services, including initial feasibility studies, Planning, Listed Building, Conservation Area and Freeholder Consents, detailed technical design, Tender issue and management and Contract Administration. These work stages are available collectively, or can be tailored to suit each project and budget. We use hand-drawn sketches, CAD drawings and 3D models to communicate our ideas, and work closely with other consultants to ensure properties discreetly incorporate the latest technology and maximise design potential.
