SHINGLE HOUSE

Renovation and extension of a large family home in Scotland

Under Construction

Overlooking the Isle of Arran on the west coast of Scotland, Shingle House is a large red sandstone house with a modern, charred shingle clad extension. Due to be completed in Easter 2019, we gained planning permission for an angular, pitched extension which reacts to the form of the existing pitches and falls. The extension houses the kitchen and dining room on the ground floor, whilst the first floor is home to the master suite, with sweeping views of the sea and rugged landscape.
