Mixed-use development in Thamesfield

Feasibility

This waterside site is inspired by its industrial past of paper mills, distilleries, corn mills, dye works, match and starch factories and copper and iron mills and the area was, at one time, a centre of industry. Its form draws from the silos and waterways of years gone by forming a series gardens and green space from its drums and arches.

The development will deliver 226 residential units, in a mixture of affordable and market sales flats. A total of 17,526sqm new floorspace is proposed through 82 one-bed, 102 two-bed, and 42 three-bed units. The 0.4ha site will also feature communal gardens and shared amenity spaces.
